No. There will be an informational meeting after an open gym session.
Tryouts are a very busy time for our staff, parents, and players, thus, there will not be a meeting following any tryout sessions. Our staff will be focusing on evaluating players. Please email questions to AVAfamily1@gmail.com.
You should bring your KRVA membership card, your medical release form, your tryout fee, your volleyball equipment, and a water bottle. Upon checking in, we will provide you with a tryout tee shirt.
We recommend that you play at your age level. Special circumstances might occur. Please communicate with our directors and your age group coach about the desire to play out of your age level.
The simple answer is yes. Athletes must choose the team level of play which suits them best. All National level teams must be the first priority of each player. Athletes on these teams can play other sports as long as AVA is the number one priority. If players do miss practice they will be missing important instruction from the coach which may affect playing time.
YES, parents are allowed and encouraged to watch tryouts.
As an Academy, we will have a Welcome Party at the end of November, and team trainings will start the first week in December.
We have several training locations in the Lehigh Valley. Please check out our "facilities" tab. At AVA, we have an open training policy, so any athlete can attend additional team trainings throughout the season. We simply request that you ask the respective team coach 24hrs. in advance if you may attend their team training (for planning purposes).
Yes. Additional fees will be assessed to those teams that qualify and attend Nationals.
